SX40 HS - Wide angle DNG vs. JPEG FOV

I received my SX40 HS on Thursday and haven't really done much yet, though I have gotten CHDK working. I updated the CHDK page but it used to say that you had to make multiple partitions for SD cards over 4GB. This is not the case for the SX40 and likely the same for other new cameras.

But to the actual subject at hand... I took a shot with CHDK DNG enabled at full wide angle to compare the FOV between the JPEG and DNG outputs. The JPEG is untouched. The DNG was process with RawTherapee and no adjustments, then a very rough lens correct in GIMP (not sure why I didn't just do this in RawTherapee, silly me).

Someone had provided such a comparison Before (with a much more compelling image) but I was completely unable to find it. You can download the original .JPG and .DNG files (and the comparison merge) at:

Now, back to something of actual interest.
