how to photograph a friends golf swing

Hi guys i need some advice.

i was a bit reluctant about asking anymore questions ,as i have been shot down a few times, about my questions being daft, bad grammar and even being to lazy regarding research before posting.

so this may be my last post depending on replies etc,but a big thankyou to all those that have been kind and friendly towards me.

anyway here goes ive said i will try to take a few shots" probably hundreds" of a friend hitiing a few balls ,this will all take place on a local field ,it is purely for fun and experince of camera settings. .

my kits comprises of
canon eos 1100d
18-55mm kit lens
sigma 70-300mm dg macro non apo
cheap tripod from previous p & s camera

firstly i presume i will need a pretty fast shutter speed,so my question is what else will i have to play around with .i will be trying to capture images of him, the club, the swing and hopefully the ball,,not all at the same time though.

ps i just purchased a few books thanks to recommendations from a few of you guys
the books ive just got are.
understanding exposure 3rd edition bryan peterson
the camera by ansel adams
the digital photography handbook by doug harman
and david buschs compact field guide for eos 1100d.

which book would help me most with this topic, dont think i will get time to read and absorb them all in time.
thankyou again and sorry for the long post

Canon EOS 1100D (EOS Rebel T3 / EOS Kiss X50)
