Shooting Offroad Vehicles and Lights (4x4)
I'm starting to work on taking night shots of trips on forest service roads and Overlanding.
Some of these vehicles have lots of lights on them and I am trying to figure out the best way to shoot these.
1) shoot a realistic photo that shows the general light output and captures details of the trucks at night (so deep shadows crisp light, beams all the better)
2) shoot HDR that really shows the overall lighting and detail in the shadows.
I am unsure of how best to do this.
Here are my first attempts at my local park. (HDR images)
Here is what I'm trying to do.
This photo is from the rear of my truck and you'll see the red ghosting flares from the lens.
What I'm trying to do is get a good nighttime shot that also shows the amount of light the thing puts out.
Here is another.
