My worst, AF lens in low lighting----

The envelope, please. Ladies & gentlemen, the recipient of this dubious honor by a wide margin goes to ---- the Pentax DA Limited, 70mm f/2.4 lens.

It performs poorly finding a focus in low lighting compared to my 15mm, 21mm, 43mm (which runs circles around it), FA 50mm f/1.4 (which is somewhat better), and even my DFA 100mm f/2.8. Using this lens in low lighting (we are talking wedding receptions here) is so frustrating, that when the lights drop, this lens gets stuffed back in the bag.

Does the 77mm f/1.8 perform better in low lighting? If so, I have to have it. The 70mm simply isn't cutting it.

Thanks,
Michael
