Maybe, but I don't agree. Post processing is where the photographer adjusts the image to reveal the emotive dimension he saw/felt when confronting the scene and this is almost never embedded in the captured image.

Back in film days, you would use a certain film type to pre-bias the final image's look (and/or use filters), but nowadays, our options are vastly expanded making it impossible to pre-cook a perfect image.

I think the D800E might make the camera you hanker after. I look forward to good samples.
