G3 shots - white balance off and high noise

I have no scientific basis for this, but I tend to think that the eye is better at seeing through haze (humidity/smoke/fog) than cameras are. But I do think your shot is a bit disappointing. I have a G3 as well and took this with my G3 on a nice clear morning across Puget Sound. (I think we were pretty fortunate, as I travelled to Seattle for a 1 week training course, and was fully expectant of a pretty dreary week).

I'm thinking Mount Constance was probably 20km away or more away. At 36mm you can see the how the haze becomes apparent in the middle distance. (Both of the kit zooms were used obviously)
