It has one now . Don't be so sure that all future models (D5, D6, D7) will continue to have OVF's.

They will if they intend to shoot stills of high-speed subjects, which it seems is exactly what this particular model is all about.

If a miracle occurs and someone figures out how to make them suitable for this duty, then I'll be okay using them. If not, OVFs will continue to be made. The pros that shoot the Olympics, and professional sports will not be without this capability.

Imagine trying to get a shot like this one with a laggy EVF!
