Thank you for the reference. Very interesting article.

I will be the first to admit that extreme resolving power has very little to do with prints quality when viewed at anywhere near the normal viewing distance and that other factors largely determine print quality.

However, the balance between lens resolving power and sensor pixels density does affect the emergence of moiré patterns, and moiré patterns definately affect print quality.

One of the reasons for an AA filter is to prevent moiré patterns.

It seems to me that a lens of a given resolving power coupled with a sensor with a given resolving power will make the AA filter superfluous, if the sensor out-rresolves the lens sufficiently.

Do I have this right?
