Datacolor has just released a new colorimeter, the Spyder4. This means that the existing stock of Spyder3's are on sale. Check Amazon or ebay.

This appeals to my parsimonious nature.

Has anyone run into any trouble with Registering or Activating or otherwise validating a previously-owned color calibration device?

I'd hope I could buy the device, download the software that makes it work, and be off and running. Maybe after entering a serial number or something... would it matter if that device was previously noted as belonging to a different person?
