is autofocus really an advantage with DSLRs?

DSLRs have better AF performance in many cases due to using phase detection because of their mirrors. but isn't the mirror not necessary for utilizing phase detection af, given that many mirrorless cameras, such as fuji's point and shoots and the nikon 1 system, use phase detection af?

so why aren't more companies installing a hybrid af system in their mirrorless cams?
