Should Nikon be boycotted to protect bluefin tuna?

It doesn't make economic sense to me to sell the equipment since I effectively already have a full set of Nikon gear and would take a loss on it to sell it and replace it. It doesn't make environmental sense to sell it buy yet another camera which is presumably made by another (BIG_FACELESS_HEARTLESS_ENTITY) which is destroying some other aspect of the world. I might as well use it until its ready for replacement. Which is 3-5 years out and we'll see where mirrorless is then and if I get a new DSLR or a new mirrorless. Maybe Nikon will have a Mirrorless system which takes a F-mount lens which is what I think they should have done instead of the 1 series nonsense.

I was actually attempting to blunt the OPs argument that a boycott by folks who already had all the gear made little sense but hey, thanks for clubbing me upside the head like a an extinct sub-species of plains zebra! :P.
