Re: potential DP series owner question and concerned.

I enjoyed my DP2 when I got it and for a long time afterwards. But the lens cannot be changed! After a while this bothered me so much I bought a SD15. Now the SD15 is very nice but also big and bulky. The DP2 is very good for traveling because it is very small. Both take wonderful pictures.

I have never had any trouble with the DP2 or the SD15. For me, they have been reliable.

My advice to you is to go with the NEX because you can change the lens later if you want. Or, if you can find a used SD15 buy one of those. Being able to change the lens is very important to me.

Now I have a Fujifilm X10 and it is small WITH a zoom lens. Now I don't need to change the lens anymore and the camera is just as portable as the DP2, and it takes pictures that are almost as good.
But, if image quality is the most important thing for you, stay with Sigma.
