Which camera combo do you prefer?

I think I'm going to skip the upgrade game for now, so trying to figure the best setup:

1) D3/D700

Pros: Lenses all function the same, both good low light; D700 makes good travel body

Cons: Lack decent cropping compared to having a DX body

2) D3/D300(S)

Pros: Get the best of both worlds; Flagship body w/low light and DX cropping

Cons: Lenses will function differently due to FOV; prefer FX when going small/travel

Pros: Still get the best of both worlds; more budget friendly; have FX body for travel

Cons: Lose out on the flagship body, very critical for AF'ing big glass = $money$

I'd ideally like to have the D3/D700/D300, but that require giving up one my lenses and I much prefer keeping my glass intact over my cameras. Any opinions?

My current lens line-up: 16 fisheye, 24-70 AFS, 28 AIS, 70-200 VR-II, 300 f/4 AFS, 400 2.8 VR and a TC-14E II.
