The Di866 has a built in optical sensor so you can use it as a remote E-TTL slave or as a simple manual power controlled optical slave. There is no need to buy an extra optical slave hot-shoe.

Just hook up your Metz and let the Di866 fire as a simple manual power controlled optical slave. Works like a charm.

I suggest you spend a few hours studying the manuals of your flash units so that you don't have to ask questions that are already answered in the manuals.
