They've really failed to capitalize on the potential size advantage at this point though.

The 1 system has the potential to be interesting and fairly competitive, but it just seems like they made a lot of "first generation" mistakes with these things. I think people are surprised about that, when you consider that 1) this is Nikon and 2) they're so late to this market.

NEX had a similarly poor start though, and they're turning the corner now. In a couple of years 1 might be a lot more interesting too.
