SEO for Photoshelter | Zenfolio | SmugMug (and others)
I know this has been discussed in the past – and I have searched & read previous discussions. But: Times are changing, and apparently so does SEO for photography portfolio sites.
Most of my income is from stock photography these days (travel / editorial) through traditional RM/RF agencies. For 2012, I'm trying to boost direct sales / commissioned work. And I would like to offer print-sales.
In order to build up traffic & increase direct sales I would like to use SEO as much as possible, and not so much on direct marketing / e-mail / pitching.
Obviously, different portfolio sites have different features & different prices. But if it was for SEO features alone:
Which one would you choose? Which one brought you good traffic without too much direct marketing to exisiting customers?
Photoshelter? SmugMug? Zenfolio? Any others?
Thanks a lot!
