Arg...so many decisions....
What would you recommend on a D3s. A brand new Sigma 12-24 II or a used mint Nikon 16-35 f4. They are the same price.
I bet the Nikon is faster, sharper and have VR, but isn´t the Sigma more fun with its 12mm ??
Any thougts ?-- hide signature --
It's all Nikon
I'd actually go with the older Sigma 12-24 "EX" lens, since it has a more robust build. The new 12-24 is no longer an "EX" lens, and has cheaper construction, which may pose some durability concerns (Sigma seems to have decided to change their use of the EX-grade construction to constant aperture only lenses, and therefore the 12-24 sequel didn't qualify and they gave it lesser build quality). Plus, as Bob indicated, they can be had for quite the reasonable price, and you are less likely to duplicate part of the focal length range you are likely to have covered with a 24-70 lens.
Oh, and the Sigma will definitely be more fun @ 12mm
