Re: Sony Zeiss 24-70/2.8 or 135/1.8?

Are you really unhappy with your two lenses covering the range already, or tempted by some additional IQ at quite some expense? With what you have already - both are pretty good also (yes, even that old Minolta), although not quite in the same league - I would hesitate a lot. Maybe check other options, to complement while fulfilling your wish at the same time? You could think of the 85CZ in your case (although IMO the Sigma is better and comes with HSM on top of it), and at the other end the 24CZ springs to mind and is really unmatched (again, IMO).

If your are really set between the two you state, reread your own words I´d say: you expect the 24-70 to be more useful for you , so that´s what I would go for first. However, I am not you, and I have given up on zooms meanwhile, except at both ends. The 135/1.8 is my second most used lens after the Sigma 50/1.4, the 24/2 third, Sigma 85/1.4 fourth...

Apologies for adding to the confusion!
