I agree. Now the fanboyism is becoming all-out distortion. Brianj is now in G1X threads talking about how the EX1 is a "pocktable" camera, completely pretending the S95 and S100 don't exist in this sensor size class.
I'm also here saying that the EX1 is at the upper limit of portable, what does that say for the G1X:

The EX1 can hardly be called pocketable, I carry it across my shoulder most of the time. But you can put it in a small bag or in a larger coat pocket. The G1X is a lot bulkier for sure. But this probably doesn't make a big difference when carried on the shoulder. But you need big pockets to make this pocketable.
EX1 does fit in a just managable belt bag, but I don't think the G1X would, so yes, I would like all this performance in a smaller model, but when it comes to buying, smallness takes precedence over performance for me.

Right! There already is a number of non dslr's (4/3rds) with superior IQ and more versatility than the EX1 but very few as small . It's gonna be a hard trick to make one significantly better at this size. I think there are a lot of us who aren't willing to sacrifice the size for more than what the EX1 gives us. There's no magic bullet, yet.
