Re: Shutter difference too

My test was VR vs non-VR. On a tripod, 1/200 shutter speed, it made no difference if I had VR activated or not. Handheld at 1/400, VR was slightly sharper. Winner: VR on handheld. Very clean image.

Now, handheld at 1/80: VR on, pretty darn clear but not as good as 1/400. VR off, kinda blurry. 1/30, VR on blurry but legible, VR off totally illegible.

My takeaway from this is that VR on is always the better choice handheld.

That is what I would expect the results to be. Thank you for your time. Based on what you saw...does the OP's example at 1/125s match what you would expect the 55-200mm VR "on" results to be? I think it's much poorer due to focus mode or malfunction. I only have a 18-105 and 70-200 to compare so can't make a perfect comparison. Thank you for your time.
