how do you display date and time on pictures on 1100D? thx.

There is no need for that. Are you aware of that every Jpeg have embedded EXIF information? Date, Time, Aperture, Shutter-speed, etc... are all recorded.

Just RIGHT-CLICK on any image, select [PROPERTY]
a new window will open and select [DETAIL] tab,
The Date, Time taken are all display.

In Win XP, right click, select 'Properties', then select the 'Summary' tab, and look for a radio button in the bottom right corner that says 'Advanced'. Click on it and it will bring up all kinds of data on your photo! The most detailed information of all is shown with the program 'EXIF Tool' when used with 'EXIF Tool GUI'

Another way is to go to your picture folder, select VIEW DETAILS (list) instead of icon.
You should see NAME, DATE, SIZE, RATING......

If you right click, you get the hidden option of adding adding DATE TAKEN column. Now every photo under that photo can be sorted by the Date/Time it was taken.

When you get down to the nuts and bolts of photography, the results depend on the 'nut' behind the camera!

See the 'Gear List' in my 'Profile' for my current equipment.
