I believe e740 as well as e330/5 (but not my e310 or most other PDAs) have USB HOSTS, therefore with the help of a special cable, you can use USB devices with them such as a Archos Jukebox MP3 player that are not primarily designed for digital photo storage. You will be able to use PDA to copy files with File Explorer from Storage Card to the external device.

However, your complication is going to come from the fact that there is no memory stick slot on the e740. You can use a MS-to-CF adapter like this:

I have never used one, though, but at least they are available.
