SAL30mm macro or SAL35mm 1.8 as a general walkaround lens?

I went with a 35mm F1.8 lens, and a Tamron 60mm F2 macro. The extra distance from subjects when closeup is useful - very easy to block light, etc.

As to the next purchase - having read a few other discussions, and having talked ot a Sony photographer a few months ago, I would suggest looking at the 16-105mm zoom instead of the 16-80. Or, at least look at the 16-105mm and see what you think.

Many reports of mechanical issues with the CZ 16-80mm lens. And a LOT of frustration and annoyance that a CZ lens can encounter so many issues.

Kurt Munger has commented on the difference between the 16-80mm and the 16-105, and his comments are very interesting.
