As someone who own the M8, I agree with you. I love the rangefinder experience. However, like I said in an earlier reply, it's highly unlikely I could afford an M9 anytime soon. It is just WAY out of my price range. Even if I sold all my gear, M8 included, I'd still struggle to get the money together.

The Fuji will not provide the same experience. It is not a rangefinder. But with it's own lenses and autofocus system, it would give me that "real camera" form factor and hopefully, some fun shooting with more updated technology (read, better high ISO). With no AA filter, I could hope for nice crisp files (similar to M8), but at a slightly higher resolution. Will it replace my M8? Absolutely not. Would it be a useful alternative at times? Yes.
