I would be very interested to see what you think about this lens. I was considering it when I got interested in Nex cameras. But I am still waiting a few more months to see more reviews, results and options!

Yes, hopefully more E mount lens choices will be forthcoming from Sony. The Sony Zeiss 24mm f/1.8 is very good. I will post my findings on the R lens here in a few days.

There is another zoom that I would also suggest. It is the legendary and rare Angenieux 35-70mm! I have much experience with this unbelievable glass with Nikon AIS mount and can confirm it is absolutely superb. This is the fastest manual zoom that I know with f/2.5. Therefore, it is a little larger than the Leica-R version! In case you are interested, let me know!

Interesting. I've never heard of this lens, or manufacturer. I see several available on ebay now. However, it would be redundant for me. I have the Zeiss Sony 24-70mm f/2.8 lens for my A77, and I like it allot. However, it is rather big and heavy.

For my Nex 7, I want smaller, lighter lenses, for travel and hiking. But thanks for the interesting ideas, Louis.
