Amazed by the dynamic range in the 1's RAWs
Again and again, i am amazed by the amount of range/detail i get out of the V1's RAW file. Consider this first "as shot" image. Pretty nicely balanced all in all. Some cloud details on the left, although obviously (and expectedly) the brightest part of the sky is whited-out:
But then see what happens as i crank down the exposure in Lightroom, and look at the stunning cloud detail that comes out (that, in this case, wouldn't even have imagined to be there to begin with, from looking at the image). And it's perfect too, hardly any noise in those clouds, even when viewed 1:1:
did i mention i love this camera?
