J1 / V1 or Panasonic GF3?
I'm on the edge of picking one of those up to try as a smaller replacement of the D80 backup camera (to the D700). The main qualifiers are:
1. fast on-to-shoot time
2. good low light capability (I do sanitize with DxO or NN sometimes)
The GF3 with 20mm/1.7 lens is $762 CAD.
Nikon doesn't yet have an equiv "pancake" lens yet. The wide 10mm/2.5 doesn't count.
The J1 with 10-30mm is about $570 CAD.
The V1 with 10-30mm is about $830 CAD.
Is this an unfair comparison here or does Nikon have anything equiv? The only compact (ok, P&S) I tried from Nikon was many, many years ago and it had a sluggish UI, slow focus acquisition... was so bad wife returned the present with the gift receipt and got a Canon P&S, but I digress.
