1D Mk III AF Repair question

I just recently picked up a used 1d mk III with less than 10k clicks on the shutter. I love everything about it, even more so than my 7D. But, I am having silly focus errors while shooting in servo. The serial number is in the middle of the range where Canon said that it may have problems. So the main question is, will Canon pay the cost to fix the camera's defective mirror assembly? I like the camera, but I shouldn't have to pay to get it fixed if it's defective from the start.

What do you think? Should I just return it to the seller, or try to have Canon fix it at their cost?
