Re: EX1 Front Dial Problem

I was thinking a bit of debris has got caught or a small bit of plastic may have broken off.

Looking at mine with a magbifying glass, it looks like you could push something thin inside along the flat sides of the wheel, and maybe flick around and dislodge something.

Interestingly, if you remove the battery, and look inside with a light, there are small gaps and the wheel is just behind some barriers. Something may have fallen in there, of maybe you can do something through there.

I did the reset and the button doesn't allow being pushed in at one point of its rotation.

The button does not indent at all at that point of the rotation. In fact, the button becomes slightly countersunk at the point where it doesn't allow itself to be pushed in.

My guess is there's some debris, either from inside, or outside and/or wear in there.

Thanks, Stefan. The problem is the dial doesn't physically go in at one point of its rotation. Rotation still functions 100%. It just doesn't allow being physically pressed at one point. No click, nothing. I'll try it and see.

Sounds like maybe a bit of plastic has broken off the wheel rim.

Is the button able to indent but you don't hear a click, of is it hard to press and unable to indent?

Brian

I had this happen but not the wheel , my memory card wouldn't click in , turned out part of the card case had snapped off inside , had a shake around and all good . Maybe worth check you cards to see if anything is missing off them .
