400D Focusing problems?
Dec 31, 2011
Hi guys,
For the past couple of days my 400D has been a bit tempermental. I use it on a regular basis to shoot childrens portraits. It's always been brilliantly reliable but now its acting strange.
Basically, Sometimes when I half press the shutter to focus nothing happens. It doesn't autofocus and doesn't seem to even hunt. I have my settings on Autofocus AI Focus, and like I said has been fine most of the time just occassionally won't do anything and its causing me to miss a lot of shots.
I've tried switching to MF then back to AF to try and reset it or something but its not having any effect. I'll admit I've never had it cleaned since I got it in 2008 but I rarely switch lenses and haven't changed lenses for a couple of months prior this problem occuring.
If anyone knows what might be going on or can recommend me something which may help I'd be immensely grateful!
