You're talking about DPR comparatometer

and the Op talks about skies. Panasonic sensors are delivering noticely noisier images when you look at blue skies. It was true with 4/3 cameras (especially E30/620) and still is with the brand new 16MP sensor.
Just look at the DPR samples and you'll see it:

here is G3 example: http://www.dpreview.com/galleries/reviewsamples/photos/1246434/p1020568_acr?inalbum=panasonic-dmc-g3-review-samples

here are K5 samples: http://www.dpreview.com/galleries/reviewsamples/photos/780603/imgp2759?inalbum=pentax-k-5-review-samples and http://www.dpreview.com/galleries/reviewsamples/photos/780623/imgp3032?inalbum=pentax-k-5-review-samples

here are sony NEX-5N: http://www.dpreview.com/galleries/reviewsamples/photos/1443056/dsc00218?inalbum=sony-nex-5n-review-samples and http://www.dpreview.com/galleries/reviewsamples/photos/1351734/dsc00236?inalbum=sony-nex-5n-preview-samples
The difference is IMO striking.

That being said, it's up to you to consider this difference as significant or not. I believe if you use a good PP software the difference will be disminished greatly.

But 4/3 remains noisier, without a doubt. It's not really about the sensor size difference but the sensor technology IMHO. Sony VS Panasonic.
