I have a Canaon SX30 and have decided to sell it and get the Sony, mainly due to the comments and pictures I've seen here. This is newbie question but if i reduce the mp to 7 from 12 I get closer to the subject by a factor of , say 10-15% , hard to guess but it's a clear difference.
I'm sure I've seen this here before but is this a real optical difference or not ? Has anyone done this with the Sony and is it a worthwhile exercise? On the Canon it seems to work OK ,although at full stretch the result isn't fantastic anyway.
Appreciate any comments. Many thanks
[my last Sony was the Cybershot 505 , so it's been a while!]
