What's best lens to learn photography

I recommend a fast prime. I confess that I haven't read through the list of recommendations, but a 35f2 or 50f1.4 would be great - you can shoot low light using wide apertures, and also get general use out of the lens.
For a full-frame camera - I'd go for the Canon 50f1.4 or the 35f2.

For a crop, I'd look at the Canon 35f2 or Canon 28f1.8. My preference is for the 35f2.
