New EX1 user (RAW question)

Hi everybody, I have now taken delivery of an EX1 and have a couple of questions, and a few observations.

I have been using a Canon S3is with the excellent CHDK firmware mods so I could shoot in RAW. I've been converting the files to DNG format with DNG4ps, and processing them in PE7. I tried the software that comes with the camera but just don't like it at all. Can I simply get a converter to change the RAW files from the EX1 to DNG and carry on with PE7, or do I need a different version of the software, ie CS or Lightroom?

Looking on-line it looks like Adobe Camera Raw 6.6 has support for the EX1 but presumably that would mean getting CS5 to run it.

I've got a couple of spare batteries and a charger with my EX1, and a nice case, so the next item I am looking to purchase is an adaptor tube to allow me to use my 52mm diameter filters. I've found one on Amazon, and one on Ebay from China both at around 12 UK pounds. But I only paid 6 pounds for my Canon S3is version, and notice that the one for the Panny LX5 is also only about 6 pounds. So is there a cheaper source of the EX1 version?

Here's one of my first EX1 images taken as the light faded yesterday (trust me to get the camera on the shortest day of the year!)

First impressions of the EX1 are that the image quality that is so much better than the S3is. I've hardly looked at the instructions but managed to use the camera quite well so the controls appear to be logically set out. I popped out briefly last night and was amazed how well I could hand-hold some shots of the streets. It feels very different in the hand to the S3is and I would have liked a 'beefier' hand grip.

I don't go along with the idea of making a 'serious' camera as light as possible, and personally prefer to see AA batteries used as they are cheaper to buy, and last well (I only swap the Energizer re-chargables in my S3is every couple of weeks despite using it daily). The extra bulk isn't an issue as they can go in a decent sized hand-grip! (Kudos to Pentax for allowing K-r users to fit both types of battery).

The other thing I have noticed is that I keep picking the EX1 simply because it is so well built, it feels to good to have it in the hand. Like many of you I debated long and hard as to whether I should go for the EX1 or the LX5. In the end it was the articulated screen that swung me in favour of the Samsung (although I can see one or two other advantages, and I don't shoot video). I've got used to using the articulated screen on S3is and it's one of those things that may look like a gimmick if you haven't used one, but becomes almost mandatory once you have. Very early days for me but I can't see me regretting buying the EX1.
