Re: Time has come....

Good luck in the future. I find I pick up my S5 often...but not as often as in the past. However, for those of us who like that innate Fuji color I won't be giving up mine too soon.

Enjoy the holidays and say hello once in awhile.

To all whom I have been acquainted on this forum and to all whose articles and images I have enjoyed here.

It is Christmas time and many of us get into the festive mood. Also, many of us reflect on the year behind us and think about all sorts of thins. What we have done what we haven't and what we might attempt doing in the future.

Anyway, doing my yearly reflecting I realized a few morsels that I started neglecting. One of them is visiting this forum and the other is using my S3 and S5 cameras. I am semi retired by now. Scaled down business a lot and sometimes weeks go by without touching a camera. The Fuji cameras I have practically seen no action in the year passed by.

So, I started reflecting on this. What is my connection to Fuji now? Then I realized that it is not any more than nostalgia. Thinking about Fuji days, thinking about "good old times". I have a practical saying; "if you did not use something for over a year you likely do not have a need for it". Well, I just have realized that this applies to my S5 Pro now. It is an anchor only that keeps my boat of nostalgia moored in my harbour of memory.

So, I took the plunge and decided to shake things up. The old guy went up on Kijiji in the Toronto region, ready for a new home. To find someone who still may see some use for it. Long years of connection to Fuji is now officially past tense in my photography life. They were good years filled with Fuji cameras, lenses, film, printing paper and darkroom chemicals. Past tense now, all of them.

So, I say good by to those who I exchanged mail and thoughts with. I'll read here from time to time but that is all now. No more Fuji in my life.

Best regards and Merry Christmas, AIK
