The problem with P is that beginners CAN set things wich can be a very bad thing, especially if it's an accident.

For example in P mode isn't the front ring on the S100 either the ISO or the exposure? Or is that some other mode? Accidently setting those wrong can ruin a whole day.

At least in auto most of the buttons are locked out.
