S100: for the Point-&-Shooter, or not?

Yes, P mode is my "new auto mode" however it gives me the option to change important settings as I mentioned in this thread above:

You don't have to change settings in PMode but learning how to tweak a few can help improve image quality. For what it's worth to you, many find my s100 settings helpful:

You should at least give P mode a try by taking some test shots and trying some of the settings such as single (center) area focus, shoot only IS and, when needed, Exposure Compensation and White Balance. Hit the reset button if you inadvertently mess up the settings.
