I'm not sure myself yet if the loss of DR is a problem. The white cone of the ISO 6400 shots is mostly clipped to white while the DR400 ones at ISO 3200 preserve more highlight detail. But you are right that for the high contrast kind of shots we are looking for it might still work (but we also want detail).

One advantage of ISO 6400 is the faster exposure time, which means you can fire away more easily (especially interesting for shooting dynamic scenes).

Anyone got a thought about the color pics? I am curious how a stronger flash will work when it can overpower the mixed room/flash lighting and thus get better color/white-balance (like getting a really red wall).
