X10 default settings for street photography

Hi All,

After I bought X10 I started to take a lot of street photos and I though to share my default settings for this type of photography.

First of all I choose to use viewfinder as default to compose a frame, because its the fastest and eats less battery. So I turn off the LCD completely. I turned off the 1.5sec preview of the picture as well. But I noticed that it takes for x10 little more time to focus on a subject with turned off LCD.

As a result of not using the LCD I use "P" mode as default shooting mode. X10 deals pretty well with automatic setting of aperture, shutter speed and ISO.

I shoot in 12mp mode with DR400 and Auto ISO 1600.

I shoot in JPEG as I find it good enough for me and I don't want to spend more time on post processing.

Quick wake up mode is set to On as well. You must do it fast when you are on a street.

Func button is set to face detection. Useful for street photo when you have no time to focus and recompose.

I put the camera on my neck (using the default neck strap) and shoot of the heap if I don't want to be discovered or compose with viewfinder.

What is your default settings for street photography?
