Any advantage to shooting 16 bit TIFF?

Versus 14 bit RAW? TIFF is basically uncompressed JPEG correct? A lot of people shoot RAW, then export to JPEG then TIFF or just to TIFF. But if we're not worried about storage space anymore nor computing power, why not shoot TIFF format? Plus, TIFF is a universal format recognized by every computer by default. Curious to hear your thoughts. Cheers!
