my combo: 10-22 + 18-200IS.

Leaving a gap like 22 to 50 is not such a good idea.

When I carry 2 lenses it's either the 10-22 and 18-200IS for general travel use or the 10-22 and 17-55IS for high quality use (obviously without a lot of zoom).

My ideal combo would be the 10-22 with an 18-200IS that has the image quality of the 17-55IS but alas that is not likely to happen.
