No, I meant simply on keeping the shutter open (my bad terminology). You're using a remote which allows you to keep it open. At the moment I'll either need an assistant or try and do it all in the 30secs allowable on longest exposure.

You can buy a cheap one (5-10 dollar/euro) from almost any photography store on the internet or ebay. You can also build your own:
