any news on canon mirrorless?

You may be right, but it would be a pity if they did that. Using APS-C is a poor decision, as the 3:2 format's image circle requires larger lenses, which is what makes NEX cameras look so strangely unbalanced. It's generally a waste, as most people who print do so in formats narrower than 3:2. That part of the frame gets cropped away, and you are carrying a bigger lens for no reason.
