i am a photographer. i am happy with D200. but other than work, i shoot high iso. and D200 is not famous for it's high iso performance. in studio, D200 is good.

If you're happy and you use it already such long for your work, why a sudden need for high ISO.

i also work at nikon. they say it's going to be a 12x3=36 MP, and about 4.000$ is true. i cant afford that much.

Really? If you are really working at Nikon (USA), you have signed a contract which states you cannot make public any kind of company and product information and that of partner companies, that includes any kind of (mis)information you give now is violating your contract, keep that in mind.

Also if you work really at Nikon you can join Nikon very good EPP (Employee Purchase Program) which gives you depending on the product (image products is always at least 15%) a good reduction.

D200 is still not old fashioned, but in a few years, will D700 will be old? also if D800 comes, how much can a new D700 can cost? less than 2.000$ ?

Really? The D200 is old fashioned, if you look at the technique which is used inside in comparison with the D7000. It does not mean it cannot take good photographs anymore.

The D700 will be out when the follow up is there. Chance to find a new one will be difficult, especially for a good price. But you work at Nikon, so you should know even better than me
