Re: First WB750 full review

It's actually MUCH better than they depict...

Anyway...

Something v-e-r-y interesting for TL500 / EX1 owners though...

It appears to use a compatible battery -

In fact, the 500's SLB-11A 3.8V, 1130mAh should allow for quite a bit more use than the standard SLB-10A 3.7V, 850mAh...

Basically...

The WB750 is not a "photographic tool"... it's semi-low-light toy, for fun shooting, play zooming, video editing on the fly and bunch of other stuff -

...a fun and very useful companion for the 500... to take as a lightweight dual camera kit (compatible batteries) to an outing, come back with some nice video footage, great zooming (that the 500 can't do), 1920x1080p Full HD H.264 video (that the 500 can't do)... and you can edit videos while sitting around with your friends, after the activity is over...

...if things get serious, pull out the 500, switch over the same formatted memory card and compatible battery... let some stubble grow on your face, throw on the 500's optical viewfinder, maybe the wide angle lens (LWCEX01, if you can find one)... and voilà! You are lè artièst!

Imagine...

Starting a weekend outing as the nerdy camera guy... with your gizmo infested WB750... bowling shirt... thick framed glasses... white sneakers... everybody laughingly asking you to take pictures and videos of them with their beautiful companions... nobody taking you too seriously...

Then...

Overnight, you let your beard's stubble grow... your hair getting just barely inappropriately disheveled... you put on your wonderfully non-mainstream, yet understated... avant-garde shirt, pants and shoes (that the weird little dancer you know, helped you pick out in the high-end thrift shop)... you stealthily switch out your battery and memory card over to your uniquely quirky TL500, snap on the optical viewfinder, screw on the wide angle lens...

...the next morning...

...peering out into the horizon, looking for that shot which come close to expressing your eternal frustration, of never been being fully understood as an artist... snapping pictures, looking frustratingly into the LCD, squinting into the distance, rubbing your chin...

...the once uninterested "beautiful companions", now hungrily peering at you from behind corners, getting curiouser and curiouser about who you really are...

Trust me, it actually works.
