I got a quite good deal on the 18-135 for around $280. However, the review that I read on that lens isn't very good. So wasn't so sure about buying. Can anybody with the lens let me know what you think about the lens and whether it'll be good for my main purpose of shooting? Thanks.

Hi Angela,

I know this is a bit late but the Canon 18-135mm IS is a fantastic zoom lens. I use it as my standard lens now (traded in the kit lens several months back) Don't believe everything you read in the reviews; if you're not going to blow up your pictures to poster size the 18-135mm is wonderful.

Another great lens is the Canon 55-250mm IS (have a look in my gallery, I don't photoshop any of my pictures) Yes it's cheap and all that, but it does deliver stunning pictures.
