I agree - the FA43 is sort of the ultimate Pentax 'rendering' lens, in that it sort of produces a drawn/painted look and shows incredible local contrast in subjects. 35mm really allows the full range of focus to out-of-focus - so it's more prone to giving 'looks' and DOF effects that just can't be replicated on APS-C. The PZ-1p and FA43/1.9 is definitely my favorite 35mm setup at this point. Good to hear from ya, sorry for the late response, just getting around to looking back at some threads.
