ISO 3200 A77 vs. A700

I shot these 2 photos, handheld, at ISO 3200 using my A77 and A700. This is a casual unscientific comparison. These are 100% crops. The A77 image was resized in Photoshop to match the dimensions of the A700 image. Both shots were with the same lens (50mm f/1.4). Both cameras were set to no/low noise reduction.

The A700 one seems to be a little out of focus. and underexposed. I know underexposure aggravates noise, but still I was surprised to see how much noisier the A700 shot was.
