Sony's EVF in bright daylight
Yes, its great - some tips as well for getting the best out of it:
Manually increase the brightness if you like (some people have complained its 'not bright enough' outside - well... there is a brightness control).
Also, some have also advised the contrast is too high compared to an OVF. Again.... its WYSIWYG - so its only displaying what the jpeg engine is rendering - so.... reduce your contrast levels and tweak DRO if you like.
If you change it to black and white... its black and white. This is a positive, rather than a negative.
To be honest, i'm a little surprised with some of the comments about contrast etc. - an OVF by nature is in-accurate as it displays what your eye sees as opposed to the sensor. This actually shows your results upfront - if the shadows are blocked... well, so are your jpegs.
