MK (mat - sometimes spelled matte - black) and PK (photo black) have different saturation levels. Make sure you have the correct "paper type" set before you start to print (this will, in many cases, require the printer to reload the black). Glossy and luster require PK and deposit ink that is quickly absorbed by the surface - and dries almost instantly. Matt papers, and other "fine art" papers require MK ink and need longer to dry properly. If you use the MK setting with glossy or luster you end up with too much ink, warping, and very slow drying.
